As a parent I want to be able to know what my child is watching, reading and listening too. I now there is no way to censor your child from everything you deem inappropriate. This I hope will help ease your mind a bit about any material your child or teen may want to read. Kid's Lit and Young Adult will have Parental Advisory information at the bottom of each book post. We will indicate the following.
Any Mention of
Drugs, Sex, Drinking, being attracted to someone,
kissing, holding hands, violence or physical harm to another, abuse, divorce,
death, children swearing, etc.
Any Active Participation
Drugs, Drinking, Sex, sexual acts, violence and or
physical harm, emotional or physical abuse, active usage of swearing, bulling,
cheating, stealing.
Swearing would be under a different guidelines for each genre.
Children's & Middle Grade
Inappropriate words may range from (suck, crap, piss or hell).
Young Adults
(F#%k, Sh#t, D#mn, Pu%#y, b#tch, a#s, d#ck). If any mention of those words, active swearing will be put in the advisory section.
Any book that is under the New Adult or Adult section will NOT have parents advisory because those are already geared towards a mature audience (18+).
